#74 Richard and Katheryn Hung
Don Wroth had an extra shift knob for me since my leather was starting to peel. I liked the Mazdaspeed shift knob, but it costs too much and it had a 6-speed pattern on it. So...I rethreaded the knob with red quilting thread myself and painted the base with Duplicolor "radiant silver+clear coat".
I also painted my A/C vent rings three years ago with a chrome paint. It was the only way to get that semi-gloss metallic color to match the stereo. The chrome paint did not last very long as it started to chip, wrinkle and mar. I have tried all various forms of silver, but just couldn't get a perfect match, so I went ahead and got the Mazdaspeed rings, knowing that the paint will never fade. |

This is to show the Grace Turbo High-Back Booster seat that my 4 year old boy sits safely in. This is a great Booster chair for children as it holds them snugly in the seat. It makes the ride much safer when driving around dangerous soccer-mom minivans. |

We purchased this car back in 1997 in Milwaukee, WI. I had to convince Kathy that she "needed" this car. She had to sell her 4-door, floaty smooth Camry for this 2-door top-down feel-the-road love-the-wind sporty cool LE. In addition, she did not even know how to drive a stick shift back then. In 2000, when baby Paul came, she got the responsible SUV and I inherited the LE. Since then, I have pampered this car and upgraded it with an FM2, Koyo radiator, Spal fans, FM sway, GC coil-over HD Bilsteins. Zoom-Zoom.

This was taken back in 1997 when we first bought the car in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The brief three months of summer are great for top-down driving. This was along the Great River Road. We drove between Iowa and Wisconsin along this road.
With a little faith, we had great weather at the recent 10 year anniversary.
The lodge was great, but the weather was dismal that morning. The wet pavement did dry within an hour.
My slowly progressive obsessions have led me to this FM2
upgrade. photo of miataworld99 |
