Sales information from BaT Auction 11/1/2018
This 1993 Mazda MX-5 Miata Limited Edition shows just under 11k miles and was acquired by the seller from the second owner out of Florida six years ago. The car is one of 1,500 LEs produced for the model year, all of which were finished in Brilliant Black over a red leather interior. Power comes from a 1.6-liter inline-four mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, and alterations are said to include an aftermarket stereo and upgraded spark plug wires. Approximately 1,400 miles have been added by the seller, and an oil change was recently performed. This Miata is now being offered for sale with some records back to 2010, a hardtop, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Kentucky title in the seller’s name.
Exterior features of the Limited Edition Miata include front and rear spoilers, a rear skirt, and 14” BBS wheels. The matching hardtop features a rear defroster, and the car is said to retain its factory soft top, and it is pictured in the gallery. The provided Carfax report lists no accidents or other damage.
Red leather seats are joined by matching carpets, branded floor mats, and brushed aluminum speaker kick panels. An aftermarket stereo has been installed, though a correct Pioneer CD/cassette combination unit is included in the sale. A factory 4-spoke steering wheel is retained, and just under 11k miles are shown on the odometer, approximately 1,400 of which were added by the seller. The 1.6-liter DOHC four is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox and produced 116 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque when new. An oil and filter change was performed this month, and aftermarket spark plug wires have been installed. All Limited Edition models came factory-equipped with Bilstein shocks and revised springs as well as a limited-slip differential. Records are said to date to 2010.
